From the Country to the Court House

My uncle once told me that the only way to get ahead was to work hard and get lucky; but you never know when you're gonna get lucky so you always gotta work hard. I grew up the oldest of four in a single parent household. My mother worked two jobs to keep us fed and clothed, and she taught me that even in times of need we should serve as we are able. I took that to heart, joining the United States Army and serving until 2021. There I learned to trust my experts, to give credit for success, and that we succeed or fail as a team. My time overseas gave me an appreciation for this country, but also showed me the ways it could be better. Though no longer in uniform I still serve my people, my city, my county, and my world.
